Sibel Bessim

Dr. Sibel Bessim is a magna cum laude graduate of Barnard College / Columbia University in New York City. Her medical training was completed at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she also completed her Ob/Gyn residency. At Mt. Sinai, Sibel was the recipient of the Harold Lamport Biomedical Research Prize. Having been with About Women By Women for more than 15 years, her practice is focused exclusively on gynecology. She takes great satisfaction in taking care of women of all ages, varied ethnic backgrounds, and rich life experiences.

Sibel speaks Turkish and Spanish and lives in nearby Newton where with her husband she has raised two daughters who have become young independent women in their own right. When she isn’t working, she can be seen enjoying the beaches of Cape Cod.

Molly Clark

Dr. Clark is a graduate of Smith College and went to Albany Medical College for medical school. She completed her residency at Tufts University Hospital in Boston. And she is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been with About Women By Women for 15 years.

Molly is fluent in Spanish. She lives in Boston with her husband and beloved golden retrievers. When she is not working, you can often catch her at the Boston Public Garden being walked by her dogs or at the Boston Garden, cheering for the Celtics.

Kara Deaver

Dr. Kara Deaver is the newest addition to the About Women by Women physician staff. She is a Midwesterner – born and bred. After graduating from the University of Iowa, she completed her medical training (both medical school and residency) at Northwestern University in Chicago. Before coming East, she was an obstetrician / gynecologist with the Chicago Women’s Health Group.

Kara was recently married to an MIT academic from Cambridge. They were married in the Far East with a very elegant and traditional Chinese wedding banquet. And yes, she would be more than happy to show you her wedding album!

   
Dr. Kattal  
Namita Kattal

Dr. Kattal just joined About Women by Women in November 2008. She came to us from the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she won a number of awards for her work in reproductive medicine. She is a 2002 graduate of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. She was a Research Fellow in IVF at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Namita was raised in India and is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.

Namita has an adventurous spirit that has taken her to many exotic places around the world. When she’s not taking care of her patients, she is with her husband exploring the exotic places in and around Boston and New England.

Sharon Margulies

Dr. Margulies is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the Boston University Medical School. She completed her residency in Ob/Gyn at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. In addition to a full complement of obstetrics and gynecology services, Sharon also offers her patients a variety of cosmetic procedures, including Botox and Restylane injections, laser hair removal, and photorejuvenation. When not working, she is likely to be spending time with her husband and two college-age daughters.
   

Dr. Vasilakis

 
Georgia Vasilakis

Dr. Vasilakis is a summa cum laude graduate of Barnard, who went on to get her medical training at the Harvard Medical School. While at Harvard, she was named the Paul Dudley White / Andrew Sellard Fellow and did research in Central America on infectious diseases. Georgia did her residency training at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Georgia and her husband are so very pleased to be raising a precocious young woman who at age 3 has already decided that she is going to be a doctor, a ballerina, and wear pink all the time.
